Commission Information

COMMISSION DEFINITION

Commissions are contracts formed between me (“The Artist”) and the person or entity (“The Client”) paying for the creation and use of my art (“Work”). Commissions generally require more time and communication between The Artist and The Client, and are subject to revisions and cancellation if either entity deems necessary.

DEPOSITS

Commissions require an initial, non-refundable deposit of 20% of the agreed final cost. For example, if The Client and The Artist agree that the final cost for the Work will be $100usd, then a deposit of $20usd is required before The Artist begins. The additional 80% ($80usd in this example) will be paid to The Artist once the Work is complete.

REVISIONS

There will be continuous and direct communication between The Artist and The Client, which may result in some changes being requested by The Client (“Revisions”). This is to be expected, and a maximum of five (5) Revisions will be included within the commission fee. Any Revision after five will be subject to a Revision Fee of 3% of the agreed final cost.

TIMELINE

The Artist and The Client will agree to a timeline, but can be subject to change if later agreed upon by both The Client and The Artist. If The Artist fails to complete the Work within the agreed upon timeline, The Artist will accept a 3% reduction of the final cost for every 24 hours that the Work is late. If The Artist is unable to complete the Work within seven (7) days of the end of the timeline, or at all, The Client may cancel the commission, forfeiting only the initial 20% deposit.

LICENSING

If The Client is requesting a commission to be used for commercial purposes, which include but are not limited to: monetized live-streaming services (ie. Twitch or YouTube Live), published works such as movies, books, games, internet videos, and merchandise such as posters, clothing, and accessories, then they MUST also pay a LICENSING FEE in addition to the agreed upon commission cost. If The Client wishes to purchase the license, they must also read and acknowledge the License Agreement that will be available to them upon request. The LICENSING FEE is, if paid as an ADVANCE, 25% of the agreed upon commission cost, and no further fees will be accrued. If paid as ROYALTIES, the fee is 5% revenue made on the sale of any products that use the commissioned Work, paid to The Artist quarterly (every three months), for a minimum of one(1) year or four (4) quarters.
